What is Renter's Insurance?


Renters Insurance is similar to homeowners insurance but designed to cover your belonging, but it also gives you personal liability coverage. Your personal property is covered for the most common causes of loss. If you have the guarenteed replace cost endorsement on your policy, your belongs can be replace with brand new "like kind and qualitiy" items up to your personal property limits. You can choose liablility limits from $100,000 to $1,000,000 which give you liability coverage if you cause personal or bodily injury, or property damage with a few exclusions with the biggest one being injury or damage by your while driving a motorized vehicle.

Who should have Renter's Insurance?


Anyone that rents where they live or anyone that lives with someone (other than their spouse) and doesn't have ownership in the home or apartment. See Q&A below.
